While Jessica was our primary server, we were attended to by several people. All of them were excellent. The restaurant atmosphere was perfect- happy, not too loud and not quiet. The food was impeccable and creative. This is truly 5 start dining with 5 star service. If you are expecting cheap eats, this is not the place. If you are looking for relaxed elegance with with food and service second to none- this is the place. Absolutely outstanding.

Went with a family and loved it. They even have kids menu, though not on paper. Orally. 10 kids burger is a great deal. They also have draft beers priced at 10 so it makes a fun family restaurant. Most people are old though and look pretty rich. Just my observation. Free valet service is a great feature. No need to scorch the earth for parking.

After an exciting venue walk-through to kick off the countdown to our wedding, my fiance and I joined our parents for a celebratory brunch at Red Horse by David Burke at the Bernards Inn—and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff welcomed our party of eight with warmth, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm. They offered thoughtful suggestions from the menu, and their guidance made navigating the creative offerings a joy. Every interaction was sincere and elevated the entire experience. The food was a highlight from start to finish. We indulged in clothesline bacon—fun, flavorful, and smoky with just the right touch of sweetness—and enjoyed airy popovers that disappeared within moments. The lobster omelet was rich and silky, generously topped with fresh lobster, while the fried chicken and waffles brought together crispy, juicy chicken and perfectly golden waffle. The lobster Cobb salad offered a refreshing and indulgent option. Our entrees paired nicely with a side of crispy Brussels sprouts and addictively good “Far Hills” fries. We ended the meal on a sweet note with the tin can cinnamon rolls—warm, gooey, and perfectly spiced. They were the ultimate treat to wrap up a brunch that felt as special as the occasion itself. Red Horse by David Burke delivered more than just a meal—it gave us a memory we'll carry into our wedding day and beyond. Highly recommended for any special gathering or indulgent weekend treat.

Wonderful first experience. The roast chicken was cooked to perfection, so moist and steaming when served. The oyster appetizer was beautifully presented with a tasty peppercorn vinegary side. Lobster dumplings were tasty as well. The rigatoni was a sizeable portion. To top it all, the cake pop (mostly chocolate) tree with cotton candy was a perfect ending to a very nice meal.

We love David Burke properties and spend all of our special occasions there. Our last meal was at Red Horse at the Bernards Inn and again it exceeded our expectations. We were met by Andre and Drew at the bar and they treated us so well. We then were served by Danielle as our server and she was truly special. Everyone was personable, friendly and kind. The icing on the cake was when Chef Burke stopped by to check on us. Wonderful. We will be back soon.

Had an awesome meal a few weeks ago at one of David Burkes newest restaurants and was not disappointed! I feel like all of my reviews are 5 stars .. (and they mostly are) but I am a foodie and try to research before venturing out. From atmosphere to waitstaff to food it was on point! Out server was William Shelton .. he was so knowledgeable and recommended the best tasting experience for us that night. We started with some beautiful west coast oysters .. which are my favorites .. then had the clothesline bacon which was a fun treat. I had the crispy bronzino ..and my partner had the tea smoked duck breast & foie gras .. which was delicious. We rarely have dessert but because William our server had recommended such awesome dishes we had to finish off with the tiny dancer which was heavenly. Amazing menu, staff and ambience a must go to!

Every once in a while, while a place comes by, and surprises you, with amazing and innovative dishes! So, of course, it has to be one of David Burkes innovations, we start out with an amazing craft cocktail made table side through a sifter. It looks like something out of a movie! It’s called the derby so very cool I recommend. Started out with a fantastic crabcake, unconventional, but still very delicious. Also tried the salmon and tuna tartar, which was delicious. And of course I had to get bread service with the butter sculptures, sculpted after real statues in the front of the restaurant. I wasn’t sure what to get for my next drink, but my server Randall recommended a table side, smoked old fashion! It did not disappoint. I highly recommend. that are both delicious and creative! For dinner, I had the 8 ounce, Wagyu, and my fiance had the lamb chops with the most amazing couscous! I especially liked the dash of steak sauce it came with made by chef himself! At The night I didn’t know what did choose, but ended up picking the apple tart, it was light, flaky, and delicious! If you have not been yet you need to go !
